Beginners Smartphone Photography 8-week course Tuesday 4 February 2.15-4.15pm Transform your smartphone into a powerful tool for capturing and sharing beautiful moments! This 8-week beginner course guides you through the essentials of smartphone photography, teaching you to shoot, edit, and create stunning visuals for both personal and social media use. From mastering the basics of composition and lighting to exploring editing and social media techniques, this course will equip you with skills to bring your creative vision to life. Perfect for anyone wanting to capture photos and videos without needing a full camera setup, this course is your first step into the world of mobile photography. There will be some outdoor shooting practice weather permitting. Week 1: Introduction to Smartphone Photography Week 2: Composition Techniques for Impactful Photos Week 3: Editing Fundamentals on Mobile Apps Week 4: Portraiture and Self-Portraits Week 5: Introduction to Video Shooting Techniques Week 6: Editing Videos on Your Smartphone Week 7: Social Media Part 1- How To Create Stories, Reels, Posts Week 8: Social Media Part 2 – Creative Hacks – Intro to Canva Marketing strategies are not covered in the Social Media section of this course. Suitable for beginners Please bring your smartphone. Your tutor Eva Kalpadaki was born in Greece. After she was awarded a Greek State Foundation scholarship she moved to UK to complete a PhD in Arts and Communication at UCA. She is a qualified teacher holding a PGCE teaching certificate from the University of Brighton. She is currently working as a fine art photographer and photography tutor.
