This Acrylic Painting course will help people of all levels to develop their colour, composition and experimental skills in this exciting medium, with emphasis on colour theory. Acrylic paint is water-based and can be used thinly like watercolour or thickly like oils. Probably the main advantage over oils is its fast drying time, which enables the painter to make rapid changes and complete a work relatively quickly. This can be especially useful when working outside. Suitable for beginners and if you have done acrylic painting before and would like to explore this medium more deeply and get guidance with your own projects. What to bring - please see image below for details Your tutor Dinah has worked as an artist educator for several major museums, giving gallery talks on paintings and leading workshops in response to the collections. She teaches in a wide range of media with a strong emphasis on colour theory and acrylic painting. Testimonials 'Loved it. It gave me loads of different techniques to use.' Brooke 'The pace of the session means you are continually painting and learning and time flies by.' Brian 'A very excellent course. A good introduction to work with primary colours and then using that for the rest of the course. Plenty of help throughout and encouragement. Lovely group dynamic.'
