Art in the Outdoors

Tutor: Dinah Kelly

Location: Queens Park Brighton

Please email info@evolutionarts.org.uk to be added to a waiting list.  We may arrange another course or outdoor workshop if there is interest.

A series of four drawing  classes in Queens Park focusing on Line-Tone-Texture- Colour and Composition.

In the Park we will be looking at the contrast of "Man Made and Natural Forms"

From the  initial sketches students will be encouraged to develop their work and experiment using different materials. This can include mixed media collage and colour (paint and pastels)
This short course is structured to inspire creativity and lead to development in their own work.

There will be a maximum of 5 students on this course to comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements.  A simple materials list will be sent to students on booking.

As this course will be held outdoors it may be necessary to re-schedule sessions in the event of rainy weather so some flexibility in terms of timing will be required.

Loved it. It gave me loads of different techniques to use. Brooke

The pace of the session means you are continually painting and learning and time flies by. Brian

A very excellent course.  A good introduction to work with primary colours and then using that for the rest of the course.  Plenty of help throughout and encouragement. Lovely group dynamic.  Thoroughly enjoyed the course.  Anon

The tutor was excellent and the course was set out in a simplified way.  It really did tackle the basics.  The tutor was always encouraging but critical and helpful in a good way, given time to everyone.  Eric

Love rekindling my love of colour and paint and rediscovering skill I have. Ruth

For the first time in my life I could paint a human being lookalike, thanks to Dinah Kelly.  She inspired me to try harder while painting.  Grateful.  Kataryna

I take more notice of colours, tones, paintings, drawings and pictures.  Victoria

After spending a lifetime in an office environment this has exposed my artistic tendencies.  Sue

The course has given me enthusiasm to carry on painting. Mariatta

I enjoyed learning a new skill, my confidence improved and I progressed.  Gail
