Wednesday 22 January 2022, 10.15am - 12.15pm, 10 weeks (half-term break 16 Feb)

Explore various techniques and styles, guided by our wonderful and supportive tutor Dinah.

  • Build your skill set and your confidence step-by-step over 10 weeks.
  • Make the most of acrylic as a versatile and exciting medium that allows you to work quickly, layering and building colour for a stunning effect.
  • Perfect for all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned professional.

What Does the course cover?

This Acrylic Painting course will help people of all levels to develop their colour, composition and experimental skills in this exciting medium, with emphasis on colour theory. Acrylic paint is water-based and can be used thinly like watercolour or thickly like oils. Probably the main advantage over oils is its fast drying time, which enables the painter to make rapid changes and complete a work relatively quickly. This can be especially useful when working outside.
