Creative bead making using air drying clay, paints and household items.

This course covers

• Instruction on hand building beads using air drying clay

• Creating a good surface finish on each bead

• Painting and decorating beads

• Threading beads on string/thong

About the tutor

Anna has been an artist, designer and maker for over twenty years, she has worked in the jewellery industry for commercial designers as well as local artisan jewellers. She also runs herown jewellery business and creates work for exhibitions all over the world. Anna loves teaching and is keen to inspire students not only make beautiful work but to enjoy the making process.

• Air drying clay (FIMO and DAS are the best)

• Clingfilm

• Household objects i.e spoons, moulds etc (optional)

• Sandpaper

• Something sharp with which to make a hole in the bead (i.e; needle file, chopstick, knitting

needle etc)

• Acrylic paint

• Clear varnish suitable for ceramic/all surfaces

• String/ribbon/thong or whatever you’d like to thread the beads onto

This is an interactive course on Zoom, so you'll need most of the items/materials listed above and a computer or device with a camera and microphone.
