Autobiography’ – self, life, write…

Are you a writer (or would-be writer) interested in finding artistically satisfying ways to place yourself on the page? Perhaps you have a yen to write a memoir, or a family history, or to tell stories inspired by other true life experiences?

This practical workshop looks at good examples of memoir, autobiography, and autofiction; and employs creative writing exercises to develop non-fiction writing skills. The aim is to explore different ways of reflecting on your own life stories, and to identify the tools needed to bring together an autobiography, memoir or other longform work based on real life experience. Come with a project already started or envisioned, or come with a blank page and an open mind.
